1. Do quests with lvl 20 henchmen/heroes, when it comes time to turn them in, switch to low level heroes.

2. Junundu wurms.

I'm not sure how much xp the heroes get, but you'll get the entire xp-reward, so if you get a 3000 xp questreward you will get 3000 and I *think* the heroes get 3000 xp as well.
My guess is they are treated like normal partymembers that 'take the reward' the moment you do

Before certain heroes were updated and still arrived at levels 5 ish, I sometimes would go to Whitman's Folley with a 6-member team. (Low heroes = MM food) ^^ Brought along a boss scroll and exterminated grawl.

Easiest way to level up both yourself and heroes is the following:

As soon as possible, go to cantha. in Kaineng city, you can get a quest to infiltrate the Am Fah group. First, you need some jade brotherhood capes: no problem, dismiss the heroes and get 7 henchmen at level 20 to kill the jade brotherhood.

Next, take the following quest (Seek out brother Tosai), and DON'T FINISH IT! As long as the quest is active, an entire map (Wajjun bazaar) will be friendly. The area has several delivery type quests with 3000 XP rewards that can easily be done with 3 heroes and henchmen. The XP from those quests can take you to lvl 20.

This is a class trick. After my Ele first went through Cantha I thought "Hang on, I'm missing a trick here...if I never complete that quest I never have to fight Am Fah in the Bazaar again." It's great and very useful. But yea...If you have a stack of Canthan/Echivold/Jade Sea quests still needing to be done they give you a beautful 3k XP...then if you still have Befrending the Kurzicks/Luxons that's a Massive 10k XP gain for your heroes...

Two words: Titan quests :P In case you didn't know, they give 20k each and the final one gives a massive 50k XP

Er, it needs to be mentioned that the titan quests are definitely something you want to do with lvl 20 and only claim rewards with low heroes

As well as what Iuris had stated. A player can also level heros by doing Vermin runs outside Senji's Corner.

As was said, do quests with your 20's, then when you go to collect, swap the low levels into your team, collect, change back and do another. this works GREAT in cantha since all the quests give a ton of xp for practically doing nothing (most of the time).
